Tom and Michele were part of the Grace Point church plant in 2000.  Tom transitioned into a role as an elder at Grace Point in 2003.  By 2005, God was beginning to convince Tom to walk away from the business he started in 1998 in order to enter full-time ministry.  In July 2007, he was hired as Grace Point's Pastor of Discipleship and Administration.

Tom and Michele were married in June of 1990 and have two boys, both of which attend Delaware Christian School.

Tom holds a Bachelors degree and MBA from The Ohio State University.  He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

The verses that have most greatly impacted Tom are 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, which speak to running the Christian race in such a way as to get the prize.  It is from these verses that Tom chose the name for his discipleship blog www.runinsuchaway.com.
